Interview with LAMPO the Reindeer


Let’s get to know Lampo, the fastest reindeer in the Kingdom of Santa Claus!

“Hello Lampo! Congratulations on your perfect timing! Let’s start with a light question: what’s your favorite sweet treat?” 

Lampo: Hello to all the readers of the magazine! Well, even if you wouldn’t think it, I have a weakness for sweets too. My favorites are LampoBiscuits: delicious shortbread cookies that Bon Bon, the pastry Elf of the Kingdom, makes just for me, with a thin layer of raspberry jam… my favorite! My lifestyle is healthy and sporty, it takes dedication and discipline… and there’s nothing better than rewarding yourself with a delicious LampoBiscuit after all that effort. As long as that greedy Rudy doesn’t get there first!

“Lampo, you’re famous for your incredible speed! What’s the secret to being so fast?”

Lampo: It’s a combination of hard work, discipline, and a lot of passion for what I do. But if you really want to know the true secret, it’s Happiness. Running makes me happy, and when you are happy, everything you do — even the heaviest or most boring things — feels light and fun!

“Speaking of sports, why do you think it’s important for children to be physically active?”

Lampo: It’s fundamental! Sports are not only great for feeling your best, but also for learning to work as a team, to be disciplined, and to respect others.
They teach us perseverance, how to overcome obstacles, and to reach our goals in every part of life. That’s the real secret to facing and winning challenges, whether it’s at home, at school, or on the playing field!

“What’s the most important message you’d like to share with children through your example?”   

Lampo: I’d like to tell them never to underestimate the power of their dreams and to believe in themselves. Each of us has a light inside, and when we let it shine, extraordinary things can happen!

“Lampo, what do you do during the rest of the year when you’re not getting ready for Christmas gift deliveries?”

Lampo: Ah, during the rest of the year I like to train, organize running races, and of course, spend time with my friends here in the Kingdom! I often have a lot of fun helping Steve the Candy Cane plan his pranks on all the Kingdom’s residents.

“Have you ever been afraid you wouldn’t manage to deliver all the gifts in one night?” 

Lampo: Oh, definitely not! We have a fantastic team, and together we can overcome any challenge. The magic of Christmas gives us the strength to do everything… even the things that seem impossible!

“Lampo, what’s your advice for handling competition in a healthy way?” 

Lampo: Competition can be fun and motivating, but it’s important to remember to respect your fellow competitors and to be happy for their success. In the end, the experience is what counts more than any medal!

“What does Christmas mean to you, beyond delivering gifts?” 

Lampo: Christmas is a magical moment when people come together, share love, and take care of one another. It’s a time to appreciate what we have and to be generous with others.

“Lampo, can you tell us about one of the funniest moments you’ve had during your races?” 

Lampo: One time during a race, we took a wrong turn and ended up inside Dr. Krampy’s coal factory!!! We came out completely black with coal dust, right in front of the shocked faces of Krampy’s helpers, the funny Sfatichinis! It was hilarious!

“Lastly, Lampo, what is your dream for the future?” 

Lampo: My dream is that all the children of the world can train their Happiness every day… the secret ingredient to becoming a champion, just like me!
